The Blue Dragons have a rich tradition when it comes to lacrosse. Many Division Ave. graduates have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Some have even earned collegiate All-American honors or played for a national championship. Levittown Division is one of only twenty schools to ever win any type of Nassau County Lacrosse Championship. The 1982 team, under the direction of the late Shaun Morissey, was the county champion and played Ward Melville in the Long Island Championship. The Blue Dragons lost that game 9-8 in overtime. In its history, Levittown Division has played in 4 Nassau County Championship games (1971, 1972, 1974 and 1982). More recently, the Blue Dragons have earned a spot in the Nassau County B playoffs 9 of the last 10 years.
The playoff results were as follows:
2010 County Semi-Final loss to Garden City (11-4)
2009 First round loss to Hewlett (11-10)
2007 First round loss to Floral Park (16-5)
2006 First round loss to Lynbrook (13-8)
2005 First round loss to Calhoun (12-7)
2004 Second round loss to Bethpage (12-7)
2003 County Semi-Final loss to Garden City (10-4)
2002 Second round loss to Wantagh (13-4)
2001 First round loss to South Side (11-7)
Only 6 Nassau County schools have had more HS All-Americans than Levittown Division. Division has produced 13 HS All-Americans.
